GIGALite: New RF Coax & Triax Cable Solutions

Our GIGALite line of high-performance 50Ω coaxial cables for aerospace and defense has two new additions to expand your options for shielding effectiveness and performance versatility.

GF5-141D: Low-Loss Flexible High-Performance Coax

GIGAFLIGHT’s GF5-141D is designed as a suitable alternative to PIC’s S86208 with matching materials and electrical specifications, simplifying your design approvals. The key difference? The GF5-141D is designed with a white, laser-markable jacket to eliminate manual wire marking and reduce assembly time. The GF5-141D also features enhanced shielding with both a silver-plated copper flat strip braid (92% coverage) and a silver-plated copper braid (95% coverage).

Applications: RF interconnect, antenna systems, sensor integration, and applications where both performance and assembly efficiency matter.

GF5-TX151D: High-Performance Triaxial Cable

The GF5-TX151D, a 50Ω triaxial cable designed for EMI-sensitive applications, is an identical alternative to PIC’s L8620TX. Our cable features a stranded, silver-plated copper center conductor with dual tin-plated copper braid shields and a durable, laser-markable ETFE jacket. The additional outer braid shield minimizes noise pick-up and improves signal-to-noise ratio. For the best results, use triaxial connectors that maintain the isolation of both shields.

Applications: Radar systems, electronic warfare, SIGINT applications, and anywhere RFI protection is mission critical.

GIGAFLIGHT XLite: Lightweight Aerospace Cable Solutions

When weight matters, and it always does, XLite delivers. Our newest XLite offerings maintain full performance while aggressively optimizing weight.

GF5-UL62D: Low-Loss Ultra-Lightweight Coax

The GF5-UL62D is a suitable alternative to UH67163, engineered with high-end materials for low-loss performance without unnecessary bulk. The combination of a silver-plated copper flat spiral wrap inner shield and silver-plated, copper clad aluminum (SPCCA) braid delivers ample protection while keeping weight minimal.

Applications: Unmanned systems, satellite payloads, airborne RF systems, and any platform where weight budget is critical.

GF5-UL104D: Low-Loss Ultra-Lightweight Coax

The GF5-UL104D, a suitable alternative to UH44193, this XLite cable maintains the same high-end material construction and low-loss performance philosophy as the GF5-UL62D. Silver-plated copper flat spiral wrap inner shield combined with SPCCA braid delivers protection without bulk. This exceptionally lightweight 50-ohm coaxial cable delivers low loss performance while maintaining the shielding effectiveness necessary for today’s advancing technologies.

Applications: High-frequency applications, modern avionics, satellite systems, and platforms where weight efficiency directly impacts capability.

GF226C-LWCANB: 120Ω, Lightweight CAN Bus

The GF226C-LWCANB is an ultra-lightweight, laser-markable CAN Bus cable designed as a suitable alternative to Lynxeo’s EN-3375-009C. GIGAFLIGHT engineered this cable with innovative dual-wall insulation that solves the contact extraction problem while maintaining precise impedance control and delivering exceptional weight savings. The thin-wall, high-temp fluoropolymer inner layer maintains an OD compatible with standard contacts, while the foamed fluoropolymer outer layer provides wire separation and consistent 120Ω impedance throughout. During termination, the foam insulation is selectively removed to provide contact access, while the solid inner layer remains intact.

Applications: Weight-critical platforms, unmanned systems, modular avionics integration, and CAN Bus applications where both reliability and weight optimization matter.

GIGAVideo: 75Ω Video Cable Solutions for Modern Aircraft

In-flight entertainment, cockpit displays, and cabin monitoring systems depend on reliable video transmission. GIGAVideo solutions deliver.

GF7-290D: High-Definition 75Ω Coaxial Video Cable

The GF7-290D is an identical alternative with equivalent electrical performance, size, weight, and connector compatibility to V78209. Double-shielded construction with 100% foil and 95% round wire braid shield provides the shielding effectiveness modern systems require. The GF7-290D is recommended for SMPTE 259M and is also suitable for SMPTE 292, SMPTE 424, and 12G-SDI video applications.

Applications: In-flight entertainment systems, cockpit display interconnect, cabin monitoring, and any airborne video application requiring standards compliance.
